    Level 50+ Tempest Solo Spec

Just posting this to give new folks a head start on Tempest. It's actually a fun spec. Just can't play it like a warrior, really. This spec is capable of aoe kiting 3+ melee mobs, and soloing down most single mobs before they reach you (depending upon gear, of course).

If you notice survivability issues you can respec/move points to grab BoEA but in last beta I didn't find this to be necessary.

This is not the same as the "Purpose" build. I moved points around for more direct soloing. This build relies on simply keeping Jolt up when soloing, and shouldn't need BoEA or anything of the sort for survivability.

I macro'd Storm Shield into my "soloing finisher", to make it a bit more automatic/mindless. And of course if worst comes to worst, you have False Repose to drop threat and escape. With moderately good gear most single targets should die before they reach you.

    Builder 1:
    Code:
    #show Charged Pulse
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Double Pulse
    cast Charged Pulse
    cast Flamespear
    cast Shock Pulse
    Builder 2:
    Code:
    #show Dual Pulse
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Dual Pulse
    cast Soul Sickness
    cast Shock Pulse
    Finisher:
    Code:
    #show Arc
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Arc
    cast Fiery Burst
    cast Icy Burst
    SOLO Finisher:
    Code:
    #show Storm Shield
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Arc
    cast Fiery Burst
    cast Icy Burst
    cast Storm Shield
    AoE Builder:
    Code:
    #show Delayed Blast
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Delayed Blast
    cast Electricity Blast
    ST Rotation:
    • Builder 1 <cast>
    • Builder 1 <oGCD>
    • Builder 1 <instant>
    • Finisher
    • Builder 2 x2
    • Finisher
    • Lightning Burst (for energy regen) or Shock Burst x3
    • Finisher
    • <repeat>
** Sub in SOLO Finisher if soloing (I put this on bar 2 built the same way, just this one macro different)

    AoE Rotation:
    • AoE Builder x2
    • Offensive Blast
    • Chain Pulse
    • Offensive Blast x3
    • Chain Pulse
    • Offensive Blast x3
    • Chain Pulse
    • AoE Builder
    • Offensive Blast x2
    • Chain Pulse
    • Offensive Blast x3
    • Chain Pulse
    • Offensive Blast x3
    • Chain Pulse

false repose not working correctly and tempest feels degraded badly

i used false repose 3 times and it on ly worked twice to repel enemies, when going up againgst an elite tempest felt 2x weaker than the first beta test.....wth happened here?

This is going to be the first spec I try as soon as I get off work. I have been wanting to toy around with a solid Tempest build for awhile.

I've been trying Tempest out and I'm noticing in my combat log that Arc doesn't seem to like to use a charge if I put off Double Pulse too quickly after casting Charged Pulse. It doesn't seem to be using a charge, but it is a big waste of an important CD ability.

    Is it just me?

It is not just you, it seems Arc has an internal cooldown on the rate it procs, and since each builder seems to have a different travel time(Charged Pulse, Dual Pulse, Double Pulse)... they all hit at once... resulting in only 1 Arc proc

Kind of joykilling the spec for me.
I have to slow down and try to watch each charge tick off before attacking again.
Hopefully a bug and they will address it.
